HALO SCANNER

I guess I'm not very computer savy because I cannot figure out how to edit the picture that I scanned. It's too dark etc. Also, I want to have separate folders for each of my kid's pictures.....I don't know how to do that either! I hate to send the scanner back, but it's too frustrating trying to do what I want to do! I saved one picture & now I can't find it online! lol....I feel stupid...when the kids come to visit, I hate to have them trying to solve my problems....
