Sooooo happy to be off of 8.1! Win 10 installed itself. I made a few tweaks when it was done. So far so good. I still prefer the classic look of the XP menu and interface but 10 will do for now. I made cave at some point and install the classic she'll third party app.

Marp--Unfortunately, HP does not have any available drivers for my particular model as of this time. I tried Windows updates--nothing. Am also noticing today that everytime I'm on Chrome, things are really loading slowly. Looks like I'm going to have to go back to Windows 7. I'll wait until it's close to the end of my 30-day period to see if things improve (and drivers I need become available), and if not, I'll revert back to 7.

I got my notice to a free download but I am waiting for reviews. So far I'm not pleased with the controlling "Microsoft only" reports I have been hearing from people.

You may already know this, but you can run Windows 10 on your Mac since it allows dual booting into either OS X or Windows. Here some info on installing it:
Thanks! But, I did know this. My husband offered to make a partition for me. I just didn't want any Windows products "violating" my MAC, lol.

As I posted on another thread here... I just brought another computer [HP} with windows 7 premium and I love it. I tried to install several times windows 10, it kept telling me to install the same 77 updates over and over again. I decided to give up..... I will be keeping 8.1 for now but, I am going to look for windows 7 and install that in the near future. I am glad it worked for some but, the reviews were mixed and some were terrible. Good luck with windows 10 folks.

Well, I decided not to wait until close to the end of the 30-day period and went ahead and rolled back to Windows 7. Fortunately for me, the rollback was successful. Everything's back how it was and is working fine--including my touchpad. Only thing I had to do when finished rolling back was to hide the Windows 10 upgrade (it was trying to install again automatically). Think I'll leave my Windows 7 computer as is, but might consider upgrading my 8.1 computer later on. After a few months have gone by, I'll upgrade it and then do a clean install.

DH suggested that I mention that Windows 10 tracks EVERYTHING you do...
