I'm not a techie, I am bored with the apps available for my Kindle. I googled can you get Goggle Play store on your Kindle and saw a YouTube video. This told of four programs to download, at the end the Google Playstore app showed up on the Kindle, giving access to the store. I'm thinking of trying it with an older Kindle Fire 7" I have ( not one of my newer ones) . I was just wondering if anyone has tried this, how did it turn out?

I installed the Google play store on both my Fire HD 10 and Fire HD 8 and have had no problems. I followed a video by a  YouTuber named "Kevin Breeze".

I have 3 Kindles and installed Google Playstore on each without a hitch. Just Googled it and installed. Good luck.

So I tried to get the Goggle Playstore app on my Amazon Kindle Fire 7". I kept getting an error (parse?), maybe it's too old to do this. I will try it with my 8" tablet.

I'm the OP and not a techie. As I stated I tried loading the Goggle Playstore on my Kindle Fire 7" to no avail. Well I tried doing it on my 8" and success, not a big deal to most but I'm pretty proud of myself!

I loaded google playstore on my fire tablet as soon as I could. I wasn't happy with what amazon offered so I had to do that or else ditch that tablet altogether.

I have had both the 7 and 8 inch fire tablets from Amazon and I understand how boring it is to have those tablets unless you pay to play. Anyway, I would be careful with installing the play store on any amazon device. If amazon wanted there devices to have it they would have added it to there tablets. I have read that "some people" who installed it have messed up the tablet and have not been able to use it again. JUST A HEADS UP!
