Future tablet tsv's?

I admit I screwed up. I didn't buy the extended warranty on my teenager's tsv and now our warranty is expired. His volume control is also not working. We went to the Apple store and they said they could fix the wi-fi issue for $250 but couldn't fix the volume button. He needs a tablet for school where they can access texts electronically. We just went through some serious vet expenses and need to watch our wallet. Have you heard of any tablet tsv's coming up?
