Hi again, nothing but problems with this stupid computer, lol. I would like to know if if any of you are having a problem with the font size changing as you type. Mine can go from what I want to start out with and then get either very small or large, and will keep changing as I type. This happened when a rep from Toshiba enabled the right touchpad to scroll which had been frozen. I can't see now because it changed from the font I had to very large then very small. I had to put on reading glases and can barely see this unless it gets big again. It zooms in and out whenever it feels like it. Can anyone help? This happens no matter where I type. Thanks!

I can tell you that with certain types of documents that if you hold down even the left button on your mouse and scroll the fonts will become bigger or smaller depending on which way you are scrolling.

You might try going into:

Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Devices and Printers and then click on ""mouse"".

When you open that it allows you to set all the parameters of your mouse. Now I have Windows7 so I don't know if the above steps are the same with any of the other versions of Windows.

This happens to me all the time with my new HP with a larger touchpad, but it is the zoom that changes, sometimes huge, sometimes tiny and it is inadvertent use of places/features in the touchpad/mouse. I have to be careful not to rest my hands while typing anywhere on it or this happens; check your mouse in the control panel and see what features might cause this, or if you can disable some.

Reset the zoom to whatever percentage you normally use; I like 125% for ease of reading and still showing everything on the screen.

Hi, I just got off of the phone with a tech from Toshiba and let him take over. He said that the Pinch-Zoom was enabled so disabled it. I'm now typing to see if it's okay. So far the font is staying the same, and crossing fingers and toes that it stays this way! The first rep didn't know what to do so said he had to get a 'type two tech', whatever that means. Maybe meaning smarter, lolol!!! I sure hope he found the problem, and so far I'm still okay.

It's like having an I-Pad where you can use your fingers on the screen to zoom in and out. But of course it was doing that on this computer, which shouldn't be done, unless you would want it like that, but it was really driving me crazy! Wasn't it so much easier without all of these toys that we have now??? So far, so good, so maybe this can help someone else with the same problem. A big thanks for your help. I truly appreciate!!!
