Do kids really love this thing? It looks like it would get very boring after about 15 minutes. I think kids are much more advanced to know that they want an iPad or something similar. Every time I turn on QVC which isn't often anymore that thing is on and has been for years.

It is boring. I wouldn't waste my money on it if I were you!

I think the same thing.

They have it year after year and it sells, so there must be something to it.

And year after year the reviews are mediocre. I got one a year or two ago and it collects dust. Got bored very, very quickly.

They sell them to older people who know kids like electronics. This is cheap and has lights, so they assume people will LOVE it. NOT.

How many years has that thing been on?

It looks like a waste of money.

I have no intentions of ever buying it because I have no one to give it to. I was just wondering how many years they are going to milk this for. Kids today are to intelligent to be thrilled by this sort of gadget.

I think you're right - it would be entertaining for about ten minutes, then thrown in the closet never to be seen again. They've been selling it for so many years - gifting it would be like giving the original Pong game to a teenager. What cracks me up is when the hosts play the game and pretend to have a wildly fun time.

Well here is my story...

My GS is 15 & cannot live & breath w/0 his iPhone & PSP hand held game permanently glued to his hands. Well that is fine & dandy at his house.

When he visits me, he is not allowed on my computer till after 6pm. During day light hrs good weather permitting, he is to play OUTSIDE. PSP stays in the house on their chargers. iPhone is SHUT OFF & "hidden" away till it's time to go home.

On my kitchen table I keep this peg game...

which he has yet conquered in 3 years of twice a year visits. I have other peg like games but the one above is his absolute favorite because he hasn't figured it out yet.

So for Xmas I got him the Flash Pad mini - the newer one. Actually, I purchased 2. One for my house & the other will be mailed to his. Didn't buy the batteries for it for his house. I'll leave that up to his parents. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}
