I am thinking about buying the fitbit set of the black rubber fitbit and the gold bangle. I usually wear a size 71/4 bracelet so wondering if others have this set and did you get the small or large?

 I don't have this model, but have two other fitbits.  I'm also 7 1/4.  I get large.  It tightens in the middle of the holes.

I am disappointed that the fitbit I received is so large. Had I known that you can open the clasp to put it on, I would have bought the small. Now will have to return and try to exchange but I have found lately that they just take it back and reimburse you without exchanging the item for what you want. I also found the paperwork and instructions to be difficult. Most of it is in chinese, french, german, etc.

I called and spoke to customer service. I told them that at no time during the presentation did I see that they explained that the gold/silver/rose gold bangle had a hinge so you can open it and slip it on easily. I also told her that I was concerned about returning it for an exchange because I don't think the warehouse employees look to see what people actually want, an exchange or a return. I have sent several things back over the last couple years to be exchanged for a different color or size and they just credited my cc and no exchange came. Anyway, I wanted the silver and they didn't have it, so back it went. The return shipping either using their label ( which they did not supply ) or return my way was about the same in price. Usually returning an item myself is much cheaper, but not this time.

@gigy

I do 99% of my purchases online, but! When it comes to anything requiring size, my wrist/feet/pants etc, I always go to a store that carries the same brand and get what fits my body parts.

Over decades of Mail Order and online shopping, what I have returned is minimal, and have returned nothing because of fit.

Something to think about to help avoid your aggravations and added expenses of returns. My wife has a FitBit, and the 1 she has came with 2 different types of bands. What type? Don't know, while I have been call an "exercise-fitness nut" for decades, a chest Heart Rate Monitor and Oximeter are all I use to monitor my exercises.

Also called an "electronics nut", but cell phones and gadgets to measure(electronically) ones activities/sleep, calories? To me they are things that do not interest me. But hey! Differences is what has made my long life a lot pf fun.

Hope you get what you are looking for with  FitBit or other similar item.
