I just noticed a new Fitbit Charge 3 is coming out soon. The big deal in this is that it is waterproof and can track my lap swimming. I have an alta HR and lots of bands for it. I don't want to switch to the Charge 3 and give up all my new bands. Does anyone know if the bands are interchangeable between the 2 models? I doubt they are but remain hopeful.

Sorry I do not know the answer. You may want to contact Fitbit. They have a great CS.

I doubt it. I bought the Alta HR because it had a narrower band.

Go to Fibit & look at both of them. The Charge 3 has a wider band. DH has Charge 2 & the band on Charge 3 looks the same size.

The bands are not interchangeable.

Thanks everyone. I posed the question on the Fitbit forums and got my answer. The charger is not interchangeable, nor is the band. Guess I'll hold off for awhile.
