Firefox crashed and despite many messages to Mozilla nothing is being done to restore it on my computer.

Is it me? my computer? Is anyone else experiencing this problem of access?

Thanks.

Re: Firefox problems

@Zita,  I'm not having problems with Firefox.  I'm using version 50.0.2 (current version) on my Mac.   I have a feeling it's a problem on your computer.   If the problem is that you can't even keep the browser open for troubleshooting, the quick-and-dirty fix is to delete the browser and then download and install it fresh from the Mozilla website -- but you'll have to set it up from scratch.   If you have things like bookmarks saved on another browser, you should be able to import those -- clearly you're using another browser right now to post here.

If you haven't done so, though, before deleting Firefox you might want to look at this help info (for things like trying to start in safe mode, etc.) using a different browser.   But of course much of it you won't be able to try if Firefox completely crashes when you try to launch it.   If you can actually keep the browser open, you can try the usual housekeeping (like deleting cookies/cache/data) as well as the other suggestions:

"Fix slowness, crashing, error messages and other problems"

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox/fix-problems

I hope this is helpful.   I'm sorry you're having problems.   I know it's frustrating.

no problems for me.....firefox is my preferred browser.

try deleting your history/cookies and running a defrag......then reboot and see if that helps.
