Oh my...lately I have had A LOT of spam, then yesterday I received a message and a filthy photo in Messages, (macbook air and on my I Phone) I received a 2nd one today.

I did block the sender but 'it' was sent again same photo, different sender address...I have cleared history, cookies, etc. Does anyone have any ideas of what  else I need to do?

Why are you opening them?

You will have to keep blocking, they come from all different e-mail addresses and if they are in spam, just delete your entire spam folder.

Was the photo porn?

You can file a complaint with the federal government.  You will need to answer some questions.  No guarantee anything will be done or if they will even get to it.  I'm sure they are inundated.

Internet Crime Complaint Center(IC3) | File a Complaint

I'd never open emails that look suspicious.

Your anti-viral program should be blocking them.  I'm using Norton and it catches most of them.

However, one day, I received 3 emails from QVC with the word "spam?" in the title.  Yes, the ? was there.  Not again after that.

Are they text messages or emails?

@Foxee

Yes, porn!  The photo just opens right up on the screen..I never open anything that I do not recognize.  The only thing I could do was block the address, but that really does not work, they just use a different address to send from.

I do not have an anti-viral program.

Any emails or messages from someone you don't know, should not be opened and sent to junk/spam folder and deleted.

Bottomline-Don't open.

I know a lot of folks who use Apple products don't think they need the protection but, as you can see now, you DO.

Need an antivirus program and anti-malware.  I don't know what works with Apple products but I'm 100% certain there's a lot of info in internetland.

Best to get this stopped, or it WILL get worse.

Hope you are able to curtail it quickly.  Smiley Happy

@Mom2Dogs

That's what I figured.  I get some 'iffy' ones from time to time too, but never that explicit.

I wish I knew something more to do other than to block them.  But you're right, they just come back under a different email address.  The only texts I get from email addresses are those kind.

@Mistreatedbycs  I am not opening them, they are a text message, the photo opens automatically.

I never open a message that I do not recognize.
