Prior to buying my new iMac, my mail was setup so if any new e-mail was read on one of my devices, it appeared as read on my other devices. That is no longer the case. I can read mail on either my iMac or Macbook and it appears as new on the other device. I went online to find the answer and couldn't one. It may be because I didn't phrase it properly. Anyway, anyone know how to fix this?

Could it be the push and fetch choices under Accounts and Passwords?

On you iPhone, go to:
Settings
Passwords & Accounts
and where it says Fetch New Data, choose Push
