Dumb Question and Nooks

I have a new iPad 2 (I know that is an old version, but I got it free). Is there a way to move my books from my Nook to my iPad? I have dozens of Nook Books and now want to use my iPad as my e-reader so I don't have to carry two pieces of technology.

Is it possible to move the books? If so, how?
