Does TomTom have Mac issues?

Somewhere recently, I read posts by a couple of Mac users who claimed that the recent TSV TomToms (and maybe TomToms in general?) aren't Mac friendly. Are there issues with Macs, for example when downloading map updates--I mean any more so than with other platforms? Thanks.
