I purchased a toshibo 15 inch lap top last year and never opened it until 6/2016 Was I disappointed. It has not worked since and even sfter returning it to the manufacture for repair. Talking to India I was told there is nothing they can do. I hard and long to purchase tis item and now i have to asve and start allover again. Buyer beware!

Why would you buy a computer and wait a year to even make sure it works?
Sorry, but this one is on you.

Maybe you should try 'Toshiba'. Methinks that maybe 'Toshibo' is a generic copy. ![]()
I also agree with IG.

Sorry that happened, but also too bad you didn't open it for so very long. I don't trust any elecgtronic company that much!
I don't have a Toshiba computer, but I know people who do and theirs are working fine. And I've had a Toshiba TV for well over 10 years now - excellent machine. So based on my personal experience, I wouldn't necessarily take your advice.

As others have posted, it's your own fault. The warranty is only good for so long. Had you opened it right away and found it wouldn't work, you could have returned it to the store where you bought it or the manufacturer. Live and learn.

@chickenbuttlol -- You might be right. I just thought OP also had a spelling problem. Never even thought about a knockoff brand.

Not buyer beware. Buyer be responsible for your purchases.

Well, my remark was probably more tongue-in-cheek than anything.
Maybe a little rude, and I probably could have stopped my self, but I didn't. heh
But I have a feeling this is one of your baiting hit and run deals, more than anything.
Who would keep a computer (or whatever!) in the box for a year plus without even making sure it works? Who doesn't know that manufacturers usually have no more than a one year warranty? I guess if you have money to throw away or something.

I doubt this is even a real event. Look......it's a "new" poster again! First post.
These types of absurd stories pop up all the time and they get more and more ludicrous. Someone has nothing better to do with his/her time than to write stuff like this and try to stir things up.
No one "scrapes and saves" to buy a new computer (or anything), then leaves it in its box for a year. Rubbish. ![]()

@Creativedesign - I certainly will "beware". Beware of bogus posts like this!
