Difficulty with Tracfone.

I am really helpless with the Samsung TSV that I bought last week. I am trying to get onto Google, I hit APPS and the Google sign, then I am asked for a password. Every one I put in, ten letters or more, comes back with a red INVALID. I cannot get an explanation for this. Anything special I have to do? Thanks for any help.

Not enough info for me to help you. Did you activate the phone? Did you previously sign up with Google with an ID and Password? Got more questions but will wait to see if you rrply with more info. Maybe someone else can help you with this, but I need more info to maybe do you any good.

I can use the phone and am connected to Wi-Fi but for some reason Google does not like my passwords. I think I have tried five, but they are all invalid. If they would give me a reason it would help.

I have a Motorola Moto E Smartphone from Tracfone and there is an app for Email that I have the same issue with; however I also have the reg Google app that works just fine. I was able to get the new phone up and running online---usually I can do 1/2 of the switching over and then I have to call Tracfone but this time it all was smooth and easy. May iI suggest that before you close down your old tracfone--if you have one--that you get your contacts switched over. I didn't do that and now have to figure out how to transfer them, if I even can, off a dead phone.

I was lucky,they switched them over for me before my old phone closed down.

The app you are trying to use is for people who have set up an account with Google. Do you have a Google account? If so, then enter the user name and password.

Your probably having problems with the user name and password because you don't actually have a Google account (my assumption), and your trying to use user name and password that goes with something else.

Google is also a free search engine, and you don't need an account for that. This is probably the Google you are used to using, and the one you are trying to use with your phone. To use Google as a search engine, open the web browser app on your phone, and in the web address bar within that web browser put google.com. This will take you to the Google page that you are familiar with, which you probably use to look things up, or find various websites, etc.

Unfortunately, I do not have a tracfone, and not sure of the name of the app that is the standard web browser. Apple iPhone uses Safari, do you have something like that on your phone?

If I have assumed incorrectly, and you actually do have a Google user name and password, I suggest contacting Google for help. I guess you can open your web browser and search - my Google user name and password doesn't work - and see what comes up.

I have been able to get onto Gmail and will call Tracfone to see about connecting with Google. Thank you all for your suggestions, I really appreciate your help.
