The tech world is abuzz with the news that as many as 140 million smartphones could have activity-recording software installed. Find out if your smartphone is affected.The software comes from a company called Carrier IQ. Carrier IQ says the software is for diagnostic purposes only, but it does record every single thing that happens on your phone. That presents a serious security risk. How do you know if your smartphone is affected? The Voodoo Carrier IQ detector app is a good start. It looks for files associated with the Carrier IQ program and returns a probability score that Carrier IQ is installed.
