I had no problem changing from an office computer to laptops at home years ago. I still get the satisfaction of the clicking keys, and I doubt if I'll ever adapt to pads from anyone. My laptop sits on a desk unless I'm traveling and I like the fact I can change the angle of the screen as needed, something I couldn't do at work.

I've had a Toshiba laptop and currently an HP laptop.

The Toshiba's keyboard had a better transitioning "feel" to me than the HP. The keyboard has to have prominent grooves (so to speak) for me to type right. If it's too smooth, doesn't work good for me.

I also have to have a laptop with the 10-key to the right of the keyboard.
