Re: Desktop or Laser Printer?

I have an HP about 9 years now, still going strong, I don't print as much as I used to and to buy one now that has fax included is pretty pricey.

Re: Desktop or Laser Printer?

Add me to the laser printer fan club. I have a cheap (under $50) Samsung that I bought at Amazon almost eight years ago that's still going strong. It's had one, count em, one, replacement cartridge in those eight years and that was a generic one that cost like $17.

@summer4meHave a black ink only Brother Laser Printer that sits on a nightstand we were no longer using; really wouldn't fit on a desk.   I love it because I never print in color, changing the cartridge and the print drum is a breeze, and the print qualty is excellent.  This is my second one; the first one lasted about 7 years.

Most printers don't last long. On average about 5 years max and then they begin to act up. My last two printers were HP and I'm still using one, HP DeskJet (old but works good). I don't print often and when I do it's just in black ink.

@SilleeMee - Same as you, except I print all of the time. It's old, but dependable, most of the time!   Smiley Wink

Five years for a HP DeskJet printer is a long time. There comes a time when ink gets hard to aquire or the printer just breaks down.

I owned two HP laser printers that lasted  more than I0  years.
