Dell hard drive failure

My Dell laptop that I purchased from QVC a little over a year ago, has had a hard drive failure and needs to be replaced. Is this thing under warranty? I cannot believe it failed already. They are now making disposable computers. I cannot bear to watch these Dell shows touting quality. It is costing a small fortune to fix this cra&%y machine. Thanks Q!
