Deleting Facebook

My Instagram account got wonky so in an attempt to try to get onto IG I hastily set up a Facebook account. Big mistake. I don't want Facebook, never have, but now I need to delete it. I even tried searching their frequent Q&As but no matches.  I need help from a poster who knows how I do this, please.

Go to settings, your FB info, deactivation and deletion

Following are the directions to permanently delete your Facebook account.

 
  • From your main profile, click account in the top right of Facebook.
  • Select Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
  • Click Your Facebook Information in the left column. 
  • Click Privacy, then click Your Facebook Information.
  • Click Deactivation and Deletion.
  • Choose Delete Account, then click Continue to Account Deletion.
  • Click Delete Account, enter your password and then click Continue.

I hope this helps.  After continue, I think it will tell you that your account has been deactivated.
