I have been with Sprint for 18 years & have been very satisfied with their service.  I have always had android phones; my most recent the Samsung Galaxy S8+.  I have exhausted Google, I am finding it is either the carrier, the phone or the Google app.  Some of my voicemails have been delayed up to a day.  Anyone on this forum have resolutions to this?  Even iPhones can be affected.  No definitive answer so far that I could find  & it is frustrating.

I have Verizon and mine have been delayed lately.  No matter how many times I try to avoid their UPDATES they do it between 2 and 4 in the morning!  I've even turned off my phone to avoid it but it still happens.

It slows the phone done and also that's how they get information.  They're in my business too much as it is.

The TV does that too.  Again in the middle of the night.  They call it updating....can't win.

Ever wonder how THEY know which show is popular and so on?

My DH tells me that when the towers get full - too many users - the things get pushed back and are sent when there is room , like in the middle of the night. I have no idea what his source of this information is - but he keeps telling me this.

We have US cellular and there are times when our voice mails are delayed up to 3 days.

I have AT&T and have never had a delay in my voice mails as far as I know.

Yes! Oh my! The carriers, at least ours, “save” stuff and choose when to send it. Voicemails seem to be very delayed. (iPhone—Verizon) emails are held until I trip the system (push notifications?)

Our high school is very nearby.  DH asked the direct tv tech who replaced our modem if the 3,000 kids getting out at lunch could be the problem for delays/internet shutdown...raised eyebrows... never heard of that!

@151949 Please thank your DH for me...I just needed to know for sure!

The NSA is probably reviewing the messages and texts so it slows them down.
