Computer malfunction while posting, does anyone know what's going on?

Two different times this week I would be posting somewhere on this forum and in the middle of typing, my fingers still on the keys, the forum and the internet disappear! I'm sitting here looking at my screen wondering where everything went. Do any of you know what caused this?
