Computer as Charger

[ Edited ]

Can I use my computer as a USB charger.  If not would just a universal plug charger work. I do have a plug in travel adapter for my phone can that be used.

Yes to both questions. I often use my PC and laptop as chargers for random things.  As long as the USB port and charging cable work, go for it! I had a problem once using a charging cable from my charging cube, trying to transfer data. The cable ONLY worked to charge, not to transfer data. That's a heads up in case you run into that problem lol.  But yes, if you want to use your computer's USB port, or use a universal plug charger, just check the device to make sure it's charging and you are good to go! I am finding more and more things need to be charged using those USB ports... my hubby just charged his new flashlight using one!

I just use these adapters:

Yes you can use a computer usb port but that's not the best for your phone battery life. Best to go with a wall charger.

For the convience, use a universal charger.  The one @SilleeMeeposted, I have 4 of them.  2 I keep in my "travel" bag.

AARP sent me this FREE 6 port tower charger for renewing my membership....

@SilleeMee   I thought so too.  I always wait till the last minute to renew my membership w/AARP.  That's when they start throwing these FREE gifts in my face to get me to renew my membership.

Thanks for all the information.  I plan to get an adapter but wanted to charge this item today.  It charged pretty fast.  I normally only use the USB for my camera.
