@chlema Dell still has Cyper Monday prices on the XPS desktop line. A computer purchased to have delivery date of December 17th
Dell has all an Rewards program. Please check the site and see what perks are available.
I wrote a list of specs in earlier post. A new box is a good value.

I did go on their website for their so-called specials. All the models I picked were no longer available (this was early Monday) and they tried to switch me to one $250 more. Nope. Thanks anyway @Nuttmeg I'll keep looking.

Make certain you have enough RAM to run a computer in today's electronic world...
4GB of laptop RAM might be sufficient, but if you want your PC to be able to flawlessly accomplish more demanding tasks at once, such as gaming, graphic design, and programming, you should have at least 8GB of laptop RAM.

Thanks @Spurt What I have now is 6GB and that works for the little I do on my computer, since I don't game or design lol. I love having a computer because what would I do without these forums and facebook and of course the easiness of paying bills on line. Then there is also email and looking forward to spending time deleting most offers from every retailer at this time of year

HP has a gaming computer for $499. This box will ship in January 2020. You need to check ,can you add a DVD drive to this computer?

Almost every device will have an expiration date nothing lasts forever. If you get four years out of a device you already got a good deal. If your computer is not supported it can get a virus. So, if I was working on a windows 7 I would think about that. Updates are very important.

You got all you are going to get out of any device that lasts longer then four years. Everything has a expiration number and windows 7 just can not functions well with the newest updates and applications. Windows 10 is not that bad if memory serves me correctly. I work on Chrome books now and love them. I do not miss the dreaded windows devices and I will never go near them again!

@chlema Lenovo has a "Last Call" price on a Thinkpad E590. This sale has been going on since Black Friday. Looks like a very good deal to me and has great reviews. It's on their website.
