They will but it will cost you. My sister had to upgrade her equipment and paid over $200 for Comcast to swap out equipment.

Yes and you will be charged an installation fee.

yes , they will at your request . My hook up was $70 . My advice , don't let them leave till everything , tv , cable , cell , is connected . Don't assume.

Once your lines are installed it is easy to hook up the cable box and modem. I just upgraded all of my cable boxes the day after Christmas. It was simple - plug & play. Comcast sent me the boxes and cords I needed and I just unplugged my old equipment and plugged in the new boxes. They also have videos on their app.

@gellen I always pay Comcast to do the installatiion/swap out/hookup. AND--very important--do NOT let the technician leave until everything works as it should. Otherwise they will charge again if they have to come back.
My dear Significant Other (who has since died) didn't make sure that the bedroom TV upstairs worked solely with the Comcast/Xfinity remote when we moved the last time so the remote that came with that flat screen TV and then the Xfinity remote both have to be used in order to watch it.
(I was at the home we had just moved out of doing the final walk through with the owner's realtor to get my deposit back and so wasn't present for the installation in our new rental. Sigh.)
As someone else said the cost was around $70.00 in January, 2021. Can't believe it has increaased into the $100.00s unless something REALLY complicated is involved.
When you contact Xfinity for iinstallatiion ask what the fee will bee so you have no unpleasant surprise.
Technician has every component usually in the van plus ladders in case the wires from the pole into the home or anything else is wonky/needs replacing, etc.
To me it is a worthwhile expense. Good luck.

I used to have Comcast but ditched the cable for streaming. When I had cable they would often entice people to switch to them and offer free installation. See if that is on the table.

After the initial set up where they actually ran the cable into the house, I've updated my equipment myself without a single problem. Once the new equipment is connected, you must call Comast and have it verified or entered into your account. It's extremely easy to do and definitely a DIY job.
