Clickfree - Will it back up two computers?

I recently received my Dell laptop TSV, and I tried to use my Clickfree 500Gb (model HD535) to back up the contents. On my desktop Dell, it's as easy as can be. On the laptop, not so much. It never created a "New PC" for the new contents, as it's supposed to. So now I'm wondering if everything is mixed together.

Does anyone have suggestions? Would a CD be better for backup? A newer Clickfree? Has anyone created the "restore" discs for the laptop? I'm lost.
