Check out Start8 for Windows 8 to get back Start-up

Anyone that wants the old version style of Start-up on Windows 8 now has a great choice. I have a friend that does a Technology Column every Sunday in our local newspaper that suggested this.

Smart8 can be found online along with reviews at CNET and you get a 30 day trial free. To buy it is $4.99.

This is why I had not wanted Windows 8 but I may think about it in the future.
