Verizon has a better deal on a monthly land line phone than the one we currently have. I decided to change over with them since the gal told me she could do the whole switch over for me right there!
She was putting I all the information into the computer and she told me she needed my SS card and drivers license to send a copy to whoever she was communicating with. I do not carry my SS card so she can't complete the process until I take it back up to the store.
That is my question ... Verizon Customers
Is it common practice to hand over your SS card and DL to Verizon to send out over the internet just to change phone companies? I don't have a good feeling about this one, but I need to find out from any Verizon customers if this really is how they do it.
TIA
