I can view my emails in my Verizon email account, but the Ipad will not let me send emails, using the Verizon account. Any thoughts?

Make sure it's set up correctly.

To my knowledge, it is set up correctly. What would prevent emails from sending?

Hi, creek! It would help to know who your email provider is (how does your email address end, after the "@" sign), could you send email before, when the problem started, and are you accessing your email via the Mail icon or via Safari.
However, if you're accessing it via the Mail icon and the email was working before this, you can try something easy first. One thing that often clears up an email glitch: simply go into Settings and delete your email account and then set it up again. It won't hurt anything and it can do a "reset" to the account to fix problems.
hth! I know it's frustrating.

Thanks. If you're still having the problem:
Can you send your Verizon account emails if you go to Verizon.net with a computer? When did the problem begin? Did you change anything on your iPad just before the problem began? Sorry for the questions, but a few more details help in diagnosing the problem.

There's no need to be rude. "The person above" happens to be me, and I've spent my entire career working in all aspects of IT, from coding to troubleshooting to management. Now I own and operate my IT business.
We're all here to help one another, not to disparage.
As you can see, I suggested deleting and re-establishing the account. However, once creek stated that the problem also exists when accessing the email account via Safari on her iPad... that solution doesn't fit the bill. But as I'm sure you can see, we don't have all the pieces to the puzzle.
creek, I hope your email is working and, if not, you'll let us know what you've tried and someone here can offer more appropriate suggestions.

I have had this problem before, sometimes I cant send/receive mail~~then it just fixes itself.
However the best workaround is just to go into settings/mail and delete this account and reinstall it. Be sure you have the correct mail server name; like mail.xxxxx.net or something similar.

Hi, jackthebear! (Your nickname always makes me smile.
) That's what a couple of us have suggested.
The problem: the OP has stated she also cannot send email when she accesses her account on the full website via iPad's Safari browser. So the issue as she described it isn't isolated to the account on the iPad.
With luck, her absence means everything's solved.
