Can't get photos onto SD Card

I have a pre-paid Tracfone. I got sick of prompts saying "remove some apps to update" "So I purchased an Micro SD card. I can only get two apps on the SD card. Tried moving photos to the SD card and they won't move. WEIRD. Any ideas?

It's not umcommon for apps to only work when installed on the internal memory. As far as the photos, how did you try to move them?

I know new photos will go directly to an SD card, but I haven't ever had to move existing photos to one.

As to the "remove some apps to update" nonsense, that's my biggest pet peeve with Android. I'll have 400 mb's of blank storage and it can't update a 16 mb app? Seriously? I have found if I just ignore their warning and leave the phone alone it'll somehow figure out a way to update the apps on its own. The next day when I pick it up, it'll give the list of apps it updated and it'll be the same ones it told me there wasn't room to update the day before. I'm guessing the phone holds a certain amount of storage in reserve while the phone is active and being used, but then when there phone is resting it frees that up and the updates then go through. It's annoying as heck though to have a relatively large amount of free space and get the warning that there's not enough free space to update or install a smallish app..
