Can not find server

My Dellmini has died but if possible i would like to revive it . When I turn it on the screen says - can not find server. Is it dead for sure or should I spend money to get it evaluated at the computer hospital. Honestly, I think computers should come with health insurance. They want $100 just to look at it and say if it can be saved or not.
