It could be one of your Chrome extensions? Do you have any?
If you, do you'll need to test them one at a time.
Click the three dots in your Chrome Toolbar.
Go to Extensions
Go to Manage Extensions
You'll need to test each one, use the blue slider to shut them off then attempt to reach the site. If you find it, use the REMOVE button to get rid of it.
There are a ton of simple online/YouTube tutorials if you google your error message.

Can you access their website through another, such as Google? (Do a search for their site.) Or even from their Facebook page--most places have their web link on their FB page.

I'm using Google Chrome browser and do not know how to change to another browser. If you add another browser do you lose the Google Chrome browser?
I did try going to Facebook and using the website link from there but that also does not work.
I only have three extensions and I did trying turning them off, giving the website a try, and then put them back on. No luck there.
One of our friends has a son that has helped us over the years with computer issues so I may have to try contacting him. He has moved and lives quite a way from us but we have done something with him over the years where "we give him control" of our computer so that he can work on it without having to come to our house.
At least the problem, so far, is only with the one website. The website I'm trying to get into is for the pet adoption agency that I adopted our little dog from several years ago. Our little guy is getting older now and I like to go to that website to see whether they have another little one that may be a good fit for us. I'm thinking now that the powers above are not letting me get to that site as perhaps they don't think I should be sharing my love with more than one little fur baby at a time. ![]()

Using your laptop or desktop, not your Chromebook, you can download Microsoft Edge browser and have it as a second browser on your device. You will access Edge browser by choosing the icon installed on your device. Install edge from Microsoft. Find it on google. Search: Microsoft Edge browser download.
Microsoft Edge Icon looks like this:

Can you share the name of the adoption agency? You don't have to post the link. I'd like to see if I can search and find it and try it on Chrome and other browsers.

@BunSnoop, I want to add that you should make sure your operating system is up to date with the latest updates.
For an alternative browser I like DuckDuckGo. If you go to their website there's instructions for a free browser download.

I just went and opened ten of the most popular pet adoption service websites. All of them opened with the exception of one where it had changed names so I got redirected to a new site. Other than that, no problems.
