CORDLESS PHONE RECOMMENDATION

We need to replace our VTech 5 handset cordless phone system.

We've had it for a long time and even with a new battery, the volume on the handset is not loud enough - speaker is a bit louder.

I want call blocking on the new phone as I'm sick of telemarketers and robo calls.  I was looking at the Panasonic 5 handset unit.

What brand would you suggest?  TIA

Re: CORDLESS PHONE RECOMMENDATION

I have a Panasonic cordless phone (3).  In the 15 yrs I've had it, I only changed the batteries once.

Has call blocking feature & volumn control feature.

The window is large.  The fonts & number pads are large too.  The internal light is very bright.  Easy to see at night.  Mine also "talkes" who is calling me - name & number so I don't have to run to the phone to "see" who is calling me.

I imagine the "newer" Panasonics cordless have even better features.

Re: CORDLESS PHONE RECOMMENDATION

I'm a big fan of the Panasonic cordless phone sets.  The set I have has the base plus 3 phones.  I love all features and the quality and reliability.  This is my 3rd or 4th set, but only because I can;t resist when they demo new features/colors, etc.  Great system!  Always have gotten mine on HSN, id I recall correctly.

Don't forget those DECT Phones they have available are like having a mini cell phone tower in your house. Not good.

Do phones still come with answering machines?  Or does everyone just use voicemail?

I can't be bothered with voicemail, it's one more stop to go to,

Our Panasonic cordless has an answering machine,  I recommended them

@WORKING GAL

Have had several brands, and Panasonic used to be my choice. However, I tried 2 different models similar the one you mention, and neither worked well in our patio room. For some reason they had a constant buzz, even in other parts of our home.

I tried the AT&T 4 handset with the 1,000 call blocker, and it really does everything I wanted it to do. It has Smart Call Block, which blocks all calls not listed in your Phone Directory, plus it never rings even once.

It has the Intercom to all handsets and pretty much all the bells and whistles, including a 2 cell phone connection where all handsets can be used in lieu of your cellphone when you are home.

I retired from AT&T many years ago, but when their quality control went downhill, I bought other brands, and they worked well. But this model AT&T works great, and you can buy it with a 5-6 handsets if you choose.

ETA- AT&T Model CL82407
