I should probably know this but I do not.

....and when I am using facebook marketplace, I get a message my browser might not be up to date.

Am I supposed to manually download the newest version of my browser (Safari) ...I have never gotten a message to update the browser.

thanks

I'd never gotten that message either, but started receiving it a few days ago. I checked my software, and Safari was up-to-date. I ignored that pop-up, and it stopped appearing as quickly as it showed up.

I get that message everytime I use Facebook Message feature.

I only use facebook for selling on market place.

My Mac is up to date as well.

Mine update automatically.  I only know because I get a new tab that says "What's New in Chrome" when I bring it up.  I also use Firefox, but I think that one also updates automatically.

I did log into my facebook account on Chrome - maybe Chrome is more friendly with Facebook because the message I typically get on Safari was not there with Chrome.

thanks for the replies.

Yes, I had the message 2X before I looked at the updates available. It  went well, but took more time than I expected. I think it was about 45 minutes. I had Ventura before, so I was up to date til now.
