I am having an awful time trying to reset my wifi. I cannot get to the stage where the set up wizard appears. It is HL-L5200DW. Any advice? TIA. LM

What do you mean "reset my Wifi"? Have you bought a new router and need to connect? Have you recently updated anything?

Unplug the printer from the wall then try reconnecting it. If that doesn't work then try removing the printer from the device manager, if it appears there. Sometimes devices, such as printers, will appear as 'hidden devices' and there's also a place to remove it there.

@glb613 @SilleeMee , we had new wifi installed. I got the printer set up no proble. Two weeks later, post Dorian, a power surge took out wifi on two smart TVs and the printer...TV’s fine now, reset, but no luck with the printer.
i can print with a hard aconnection, just no wifi printing.
I will do what @SilleeMee said and see if that helps. I can’t get the SSID to come up to make the wifi connection. LM

@ Lilysmom
Do an internet search on Brother hl-l5200 setup, locate video...it will walk you through control panel step-by-step setup. It is tedious but there are no shortcuts I know of.
The Youtube video is a little over 4 minutes long.

I'm not sure what you mean by "had new Wifi installed". You don't install Wifi, it's a signal supplied by your internet provider. If you installed a new router, you need to reconnect all of your devices using the new router's password. Power surges can cause a variety of damage. It's possible it damaged the Wifi adapter included in your printer. You can uninstall the printer from your computer, reinstall and see if that helps. If there is a way to test your printer's adapter, I don't know how. Maybe someone else does or you can find the answer through a Google search.

If a new router got installed then maybe the wi-fi signal is not reaching the printer. Try moving one or the other and see if the printer will connect.
Consumer Reports offers this good article about solving wireless printer problems:

@SilleeMee @glb613 @Buster43 , I got it going again last nite. I did have a new router. I had already reset all the devices that use wifi. A subsequent power surge knocked it out.
As as much as I searched for the right answer online, the set up is never quite the same as they describe so I have to go by trial and error. I tried to record what I did but it moves so quickly it is hard to do.
Thanks for your help! LM
