I just received my new Bose today.  Was hoping it was Bluetooth ready but it's not. And it's not wi fi  ready either, although I noticed there's a wifi icon on the bottom of the unit...what's up with that??

So... I'm wondering what I have to do to to pair this with Sirius XM . I was on the phone today with Sirius and they couldn't help...they kept referring me to download the app for the Touch System. I couldn't get them to understand that I didn't have that so they finally said I had to contact Bose. They said it's not wifi compatible nor BT but I could get a special speaker of some kind.

Does anyone know what I need to do here?  I'm getting frustrated after being on the phone with them for a couple hours and getting no where.  Or how would I contact the gentleman who presents the electronics on the Q ?  I can't remember his name.

Thanks to anyone who offers suggestions!

Who is "They"?  SiriusXM or BOSE?

EDIT:  Did you receive item E2430533?  If so, there is no mention of blootooth or wif-ii comparability's.  You didn't check prior to purchase?  confused.gif

A blootooth adapter was mentioned in one of the Q&As.  Read the user manual to confirm.

see if you can pull up Bose video from one of the presentations. you CAN set up bluetooth a couple of ways. there's a small attachement (check to see if Q has it) or if you have an Amz dot you can use a standard jack to the dot and the back of the bose. the dot has wifi (assuming you have one and its set up to your home wifi). I have my IPOD hooked up to the bose with the same 3.5 mm jack. if your music is on your phone, you can also use the phone wifi with the bose.

not sure I am being clear. I can DO it, just hard to explain. sorry for your understandable frustration.

if Q video doesn't address, see if HSN does. or go to the Bose website. you do NOT have to buy the newer model just to get wifi.

Good luck, HTH

Thank you for adressing this for me without judgement.  SMH.   I do have a Dot so I'll look for one of the cable jacks .  Thanks again.  .

First of all there's no item number # E2430533 ...

"They" are the tech  people from Bose and he suggested a smart speaker.

My mistake on not verifying the wifi or the BT.
