Boost Mobile - Opinions please

The southern station is offering a Boost Mobile plan with a LG phone as the special. Does anyone use Boost service and what do you like/dislike about it? I am looking for a phone for someone in their mid 20's who uses text messages the most, a little internet and email. They want to give up their expensive verizon plan and I had been thinking a tracphone would work until I saw this one. Any other better ideas would be appreciated too. Thanks!
