I created a separate account for what I consider "business" and very close friends. The kinds of friends who don't email me unless they have something to say to me, like an invitation or other question, good news, need help, etc. My first email account became my "junk" email. I use it to give out at stores and such. All coupons, even QVC mail, goes there. I do check it but usually when I'm looking for something specific.
Like you I love someone who can't stop sending me that "junk;" my father. I asked him not to but it didn't stop. So I don't give him my "good" email address. Now he blissfully sends me whatever he wants and I occasionally take the time to delete most of it without opening it. Same for most retailer emails. Works for me ![]()
BTW, I use one gmail account and one yahoo account. I'm not advocating any specific "brand" but it helps me keep them straight because they are different providers.

Thanks, touchy situation. And yes, some of the emails are insulting politically... overboard to say the least. I can forget that but what I cannot forget is the situation or two he got me into with "like minded people" contacting me thinking I was on the same page.
I am a creature of habit and this ole email address of mine has been with me since the beginning of Internet time. I just am so reluctant to change it out.

What if you told him that you had to switch emails because of the hacks. Then block him from that email and give him a new email that he could email you at. He wouldn't know that you blocked him, but you would still be able to keep getting his emails.

Mark his e mail for Spam then they will all go there. You can check your spam daily to see if he has sent you a personal note. I have a couple going there but don`t want to block them completely, work for me.

yes...for business, that is how I receive job work and requests for quotes. I also communicate with a family member that way......

I assume you are using a aol.com email?
just start using your ISP's email or a gmail for emails that you really want to receive and let this guy keep send stuff to the aol email and eventually delete it. You can gradually change over the emails that you want to the new one.
