@chickenbuttI understand what you are saying. Not with that particular company, but there are many sellers on Instagram and Craugslist who sell "brand new, in box" Galaxy and Iphones for 200. - 300. lower than market price.

I have looked at them, but my gut screams "illegally obtained from somwhere". I always think they are stolen, but I can't prove it.

The other thing I see is people posting they got a phone that is only good in another country and they can't activate it in the USA.

So, yea, buyer beware. If  a high priced phone is selling through a third party, you might have a problem getting it to work!

I would be afraid of going to a carrier and finding out it is a stolen serial number and get blamed for it!

Two years ago traded Note4 for LG10 though phone excellent! Miss Samsung Galaxy. Used to jump in as soon new phones came out. No longer! Wait watch not only reviews price drop and trust me S8 two months will be fraction of the price. Never! Would entertain the idea of buying my phone anywhere except Verizon.

iPhones are notorious for shattered screens,. Samsungs have gorilla glass.  Also, a good case is a good idea. One that has a magnetic closure. You can safely buy a phone at Best Buy.

Indeed @LinaL.  Amazon has them as well.  If one were to consider Amazon just make sure it's sold and shipped by Amazon.  Not sure about their "restocking fees."

I personally just walked in and got my phone from my carrier ~ which is not Verizon........they all cost the same unless a carrier really sucks and it's the only way to get people in the door.

@gabstoomuch- I have a 6+ and DH has a 7+. Of the two of us, I've taken photography courses and done a lot of amateur photography, DH is only interested in quick snapshots of events and the grand babies.

His photos are vastly superior to mine.

I'm thinking about going for the 7+ and skipping the 8.

The only upgrade I'm interested in is the camera, and since I also plan to upgrade my iPad, I'm thinking this solution will work best.

DH and I usually help each other with iPhone questions and it will be much easier if we're using the same phones, too.
