Just opened a brand new, factory sealed in original carton, Acer netbook (the Aspire One) D255 series. Bought quite a while ago, moved and forgot about it.
Plugged it in so battery would charge, got it on my home WIFI and downloaded the Windows Security Essentials... went to a few favorite websites and tried the keyboard out... that's all.
Now the screen is frozen on the "My Computer" page. I tried ESC and also Control-Alt-Del and nothing. UGHH!
The power button won't even let me shut it off.
So it's sitting on my table, unplugged, using up the battery I just charged completely...
Have no idea what to do... If you can help, even just to get this it shut off I'd appreciate the assist.
It's been in the factory sealed box since I bought it quite a while ago, never touched.
It has Windows XP so you know the OS...
I just can't get over that I finally had the time to open it and decide to use it and this happens.
Will ck back for any help...
Thanking you in advance!
