If you have one, and put in the wrong password, and your phone gets locked, you can not use it, what would be the way to get it  un locked?

Here’s a link to Apple that explains what to do.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306

If you aren’t comfortable clicking the link, google what to do about a locked iPhone or something similar and you’ll get the information you’re looking for.

For me, my iPhone is also an emergency device.  It only happened once to report someone's car accident, but my mind just shut down.

It something happened there is no way I could cope with a password.  I will not set one.

If the phone is lost AT&T can shut it down.

If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you will be locked out of your iPhone. There's no way to bypass the passcode without factory resetting the phone. Using iTunes, you can reset your disabled iPhone to its factory settings and then restore your apps and data from a recent backup.

Cell phones stores (T-Mobile, AT&T, etc.) can unlock phones for a fee, around $150 last time I heard.

Putting in the wrong password wont lock your phone unless you try the wrong one lots of times over and over, then it locks. DH forgets his all the time and puts it in wrong. The screen shakes to say “ try again” I make sure I put it in and then it's fine. If it's really locked you have to go to the Apple Store ( my own personal he%%.) They charge a fortune to unlock it. We only did this once...had to make an appt for hours later and come back. They treat you like you are an imbecile if you are over 40. Will never go there again....and I know they have had to do a lot of changes due to Covid.

There is a way emergency personnel can open anyone’s iPhone to see medical info. I had to be taken in an ambulance unconscious and the EMT asked DH for my phone. DH said he typed in something and all my health/ drug info came right up on the health icon where I had entered it. Too bad DH didn’t see how he did it! I suspect they may have their own code to get into that site.
