Does it matter where I buy this? Walmart or Apple Store? Walmart has the cases on sale. TIA. LM

Buy the iPad at the Apple Store and the case on sale at Walmart.

I buy my Apple products usually at Apple directly but did buy an iPad Mini with retina display a few months ago at Staples. There was $50.00 off at Best Buy on Apple iPads and I am quite a ways from there so Staple's matched the price. I always put the added warranty on my Apple products so it wouldn't matter where you buy it. I know it never is a problem with Apple. They are suppose to be the same if an authorized Dealer of Apple products.

eBay has some great Apple product cases. I got the case for the iPad Mini for $16.00 at eBay and Staples wanted $49.99. Same brand and color.

Hopes this helps. There are no electronics as good as Apple products and Customer Service-my opinion.

No, it doesn't matter. Make sure you only buy from authorized Apple resellers. Never buy one from sites like E-bay or Craig's list. You don't know what types of "problems" you may be buying.

I always buy mine directly from Apple. I like to get the Apple Care warranty. Can you still get that if you buy the iPad, etc., elsewhere?

Yes and you should register your device at Apple.com.

Uhhh.. Ebay has buyer protection and it's solid. Saying not to buy from Ebay is just an ignorant statement.

This is information from Apple site about Apple Care. I would call the support number with your questions and concerns.

Purchase AppleCare+ with your new iPad. Or buy it within 30 days of your iPad purchase:

• At an Apple Retail Store (inspection of iPad and proof of purchase are required)
• OR call (800) 275-2273 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)

I purchased mine at Target and received a $50 gift card. I ordered it online so I could use Ebates and picked it up at the store. For a great well-made leather cover buy Bear Motion from Amazon.
