I'm starting to "maybe" be interested in getting an Apple Watch.

Anyone here have one?  Any comments or advice for me?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I love mine.  I have the bigger size which I recommend unless you are very tiny. You will have to get use to wearing it if you have worn a smaller watch.  Make sure you get a brand new, latest version.

Oh and by the way, you can easily change out the band.  I wanted the black and silver which came with a gray band which I did not like.  I wanted the silver accent because almost all my jewelry is silver.  I changed out the gray band to a charcoal gray woven band which I find more comfortable.  My hubby has the all black watch with the black band and he likes the original band.

I LOVE mine. It does a much, much better job of tracking my training sessions than my Garmin devices ever did, even in the pool. I got the Wifi version - didn't bother to spring for the extra monthly cost on my cell phone. It works just great as long as my phone is within about 100 feet of my phone.

@jackthebear - I would buy it at the Apple store.

Re: Apple Watch

[ Edited ]

@gidgetgh , I have Apple Watch 4.  I love it.  I use it for everything.  I use the timer when I am cooking.  I use it for elliptical, swimming, outdoor walks, yoga.  You can set it up to do ECG, monitor you're heart rate.  I reply to texts by dictation, listen to the radio, walk outside listening to music without carrying my iPhone XR.  It sends me headlines, reminders, etc.

I bought the wifi version.  I can answer the phone iin wifi range.  Paying the extra monthly fee to use it as a phone was not worth it to me.  I don't care to use it as a phone.  I don't love talking on the phone.

Buy the most current version.  I bought the smaller face and it is perfect.  I have small wrists.  I bought changeable straps from Amazon.

Good luck with your decision.  LM

I went to the Apple store on Sunday to "visit" the watches and came home with one.

The Apple Watch 5, 40mm.  The 44 was just too big for me.  I bought the gold because it looks like rose gold.  It came with a pink strap.  I bought a black strap while I was there and came home and ordered a few more.

So far, so good.  I watched a tutorial on you tube last night, over an hour long so that helped me quite a bit.

I got WIFI only.  I didn't want an extra monthly charge for the cell service.

@gidgetgh , congratulations!  Enjoy your watch.  I hope you get as much use out of it as I do.  LM
