Small screen my watch is 38MM and they have 40 and 42mm versions too the smallest size covers my entire

@Reever I'm just happy I'm going forward with the rest of the world. I don't have an Apple watch and don't want one. I do see the benefits to it though. It does much more than tell time. I try not to judge people for having different needs and opinions than mine.

@Lilysmom I love your moniker. One of my granddaughters is named Madeleine Lilly. Isn't that pretty? The poor kid didn't have a name for at least 2 weeks because her parents couldn't pick a name!

I wear the watch during the day and at night I switch over and wear the Versa Fitbit because I always want to know how I slept. It's simple and I'm used to it. I know Apple does similar but it's just me.

So, I'll explain why I got the watch. It's not just to have (what was it) the internet on my arm all of the time.

After breaking my back in March, my daughter's got together and since I live alone in a two story large house, decided I needed something that would advise them if I fell AGAIN.

When I was 18 I fractured 3 vertebras, and I was being treated for back issues, when I broke my back my girls said, "That's it. If we're going to have peace and you insist about living alone....please do this just for us".

I have 8 grandchildren, 7 are living. Some are in their teens and all know the internet upside down and all around.

I spend a surprising (maybe to some) lot of time alone with them. We go shopping and to lunch. We sit and talk about everything. Just how long do you think I'd hold their attention (like I'm able to do) for sometimes as long as 2 hours. They aren't plugged in, we don't even have the car radio on.

That is priceless to me. The things they teach me and I teach them fills up my heart. Living the Va/DC area all my life, I guess you could say (in some things) I had a front row seat to many things not even reported in the news. (My mother and sister were telephone operators for the Democrats). I also worked at the Pentago for the original "Space Force" but it was called Manned Orbiting Laboratory. A lot of famous people came into my office, they especially like hearing about stuff like that.

But I'm off course here. I always joke that I had them my 'electronics' and they 'fix' it/them. But truth be told, they teach ME things about it, they don't just do it for me.

I try to stay up with famous people they follow (laging way behind here); just so we can converse on lighter subjects.

So, finally, I (probably like @Lilysmom and many other's here) I enjoy some of the electronics that are the latest and greatest.

I worry about my brain being able to hold onto information these days. I can remember every address, every minor details from the past, but sometimes my words fail me...that worries me.

If I feel like an Apple watch, Alexa, an iphone, whatever, helps me to make my way through a lot of the muk in the world today, sign me up.

Phew! My brain has been taxed...I must go rest. My daughter is sending me texts and pictures. She's with friends in the Colorado mountains. I'd be really sad if I didn't get to enjoy seeing her smiling back at me.

You know, the Apple watch does a lot more than just brings you clos(er) to the internet.

It's kinda like this. If you don't like it or want it, don't rule out something that you don't know all it does.

If you do know all it does and still don't want one .... that works too.
