@jaxs mom@violann@phoenixbrd, hope I got everyone in that list.  I have had the watch for five days now and I love it.  I am playing with it and learning all kinds of new things.  Love the activity info (I lap swim and walk), have the stock exchange, date, weather, time and more on the watch face.  Have paired my headphones.  I did not buy the LTE model and I am glad.  I can still use the phone feature while on wifi.  Two thumbs up so far!  LM

We brought one for our teen daughter last year and she loves it. And we did get the extended warranty.

@apple1964@jaxs mom@violann@phoenixbrd, I signed up today for the course at the Apple store on the Watch.  I am really enjoying it.  I had a chat today with one of the Apple customer sales reps.  After we talked a bit about the warranty, he told me he didn’t get it and said if you look after your Apple products, there really is no need.  I questioned him further as I swim a lot.  He didn’t change his comment.  I am sure the store wouldn’t have liked our conversation but I appreciated his honesty.

I have 60 days to make up my mind.  Having just paid for a 5 year appliance warranty yesterday, it left me thinking.

Absolutely no regrets about the purchase.  Even though I didn’t get the LTE version, I can take calls on wifi, stream music, etc.  LM

I’m anxious to see what you think about the watch. I’ve been thinking about it too.

(A new watch doesn’t have anything to do with our  downsizing.) 😁

Re: Apple Watch 4

[ Edited ]

@OKPrincess, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.  FYI, it took five weeks to get mine.  I was very surprised to see that it was shipped all the way from China.  I am in Canada so the US supply situation may b different.

Knowing what I know now, I would not pay extra for the LTE version.  I don’t use the phone that much and it works (the phone) on wifi so it works most

Of the time without LTE.

I have played with it for almost a week now and am getting the hang of it.  I am using Siri which I never did before.

My cellphone provider has specials on data plans from time to time so I upped my data to 4 g in anticipation of streaming music on the watch.

I signed up for the Apple class this week.  The guy teaching the class has lost 70 pounds using the fitness tracker.  I am using it swimming and love it. LM

I planned to buy this yesterday so I went to the Apple Store.  None in stock, a five week wait.  I ordered one, delivered in early November.

Anyone have the Apple Watch.  Did you buy Apple Care?  I would like to hear your thoughts on that.  I am not one who usually buys extended warranties.  TIA.  LM

I just sold my watch series 1 and got the series 4,  and love it.

didn't get apple care for either.

the only thing I did was get a plastic bumper thingy that fits over the watch to protect it.

it's amazing  I just love it.

I missed having it once I sold my first while waiting to get the 4

the best thing is actually being able to ping your phone from your watch if you can't find it in the house or your bag.

@jackthebear, can you show me what the protector is or a link where I can buy ... I am in Canada.  Maybe Amazon.ca has it?  TIA.  LM

PS, I never used Siri on my phone but I love it on the watch.  All you have to do is raise your arm and say ‘Siri’ and tell her what you want.  Love lol!
