I planned to buy this yesterday so I went to the Apple Store.  None in stock, a five week wait.  I ordered one, delivered in early November.

Anyone have the Apple Watch.  Did you buy Apple Care?  I would like to hear your thoughts on that.  I am not one who usually buys extended warranties.  TIA.  LM

We are a house full of Apple Addicts. I secretly plan to buy an Apple iWatch 4 for my husband as a special Anniversary present đź’ť

I find Apple products much easier for me to navigate.

We ALWAYS purchase AppleCare with new purchases, and that assurance has often paid off for us.

We will soon be replacing an “antiquated” iMac Pro that has reached the age of NINE!.

Re: Apple Watch 4

I'm not one for extended warrenties.  However, we are devoted Apple consumers and always purchase the extended warrenties and it has always paid off.  I had purchased two of the original watches new.  Recently one was completed replaced as a newer model due to problems.   Congratulations on your new watch...you will love it!

@violann, Apple addict here too.  iPad Pro, iPods, iPhone, MacBook Pro and now watch.  The ability for easy setup is a real plus for me.

I waited for Watch 4 and the changes made to design and features this time was enough to push me to decide on this one.

Which computer are you going to buy?

Thanks for comments about Apple Care.  I am still thinking about it.  LM

@Lilysmom, my VERY sweet husband is terrified that he won’t be able to switch from our old clunker to ANYTHING new, so I plan to beg one of the 6 year old senior salespeople at our local Apple Store to help him find something that will make him feel comfortable and “at home”.

Since we keep our equipment for years and years AND YEARS after they’ve become obsolete, I’m hoping the newest models come with a tiny robot living under the hard drive (do they still HAVE hard drives?) who will hop out and answer questions for the poor guy when he has a techno breakdown.

I haven’t used the laptop since I got my first (second hand) iPad, and I’d like to get back to using a new one. Hoping this adventure won’t cause me even more hair loss......

@violann, I know, getting a new computer can be stressful!  My MacBook Pro is only two years old so I am good for awhile.  Good luck with your new computer.  LM

I have the watch 3 with cellular. I've debated trading mine in and getting the 4 but decided not to. I love mine. I did not buy AppleCare. I've never bought it on any of my numerous Apple products over the years and never needed it.

@jaxs mom, thanks for your comments about Apple Care.  I bought it for my phone but would not do that again.

If I were you, I would wait until Apple Watch 5.  The only thing Apple Watch 4 did not deliver on was longer battery power.  The reviews I have read say that will probably be addressed next time.  LM

My watch comes this week.  It shipped from China.  Will review after I use it for awhile.  LM
