Is the Apple pencil only for Pro models? I think it is, just want to make sure.

And - is it ONLY for drawing and writing, or can it be used as an ordinary stylus as well? I saw no mention on the website of anything but art use.

@Moonchilde, I think it is just for the Pro but will be watching this thread for info also.  My ipad is on it's last legs and I am trying to hold out for the rumored new one in the Spring.  LM

Same here, @Lilysmom. Was just looking at Black Friday deals and Apple refurbs, but March isn't that far away. Wish I knew if we'll see an Air 3, and/or a new Pro, and what the differences will be, including price differences.sitting on my hands...!

@Moonchilde, I thought I read somewhere that they wouldn't be updating the Air anymore.  I just bought a Macbook Pro as you know.  Apple is getting really expensive with their latest models.  If the Pro is the only option, the price will be way up there also.  DH has the Air 2 I think.  I didn't buy the newest Pro because it was overkill for my needs.  I think in part that will be my jusitification for waiting and buying the latest ipadSmiley Happy.

I notice that on the Pro I don't have fancy emoticons.  Or do I and just haven't found them?  Hmmmm....  LM

@Lilysmom, you might need to activate your second (emoticon) keyboard in Settings.

No one really knows if there will be more Airs or not, people have just been speculating maybe there won't be, because...how different could it be from the Pro? And I don't think it would cost significantly less either. For $100 I'd just buy a Pro. For $200 less I might buy an Air. I also have an Air 2 and feel it's getting a bit creaky, processor-speed-wise.

I don't need a new phone yet (happy with my 6s) but would  strongly consider a Pixel vs. an iPhone at iPhone increasing prices.
