Any experience with Zombie Emails?

A friend called me Sunday wondering why I had sent him a certain email. I scratched my head and replied I hadn't sent him an email, I was busy napping off my Easter meal. Yet there in my sent email at 2:30 Sunday was an old email that I also found way back in June. This was a political subject with a Snopes attachment. My theory is there was a virus in that Snopes attachment that somehow resurrected this thing. On Easter yet. I got goose bumps.
