Android Tablet

All, I am so not electronically savy to say the least. On the other shopping channel this morning there was a 9.7 android dual core tablet with lifetime support and free apps. for 199.99. I have been wanting a tablet but I don't know if this is really a good deal or not.

Can someone explain to me what this is about or if I should just hold off and get an Apple tablet?
