@NickNack  I order from Prime a couple times a week and have never seen that on an order.  There are some thing that legally can't be shipped by air freight like certain kinds of batteries or liquids.

@Kachina624  Thanks for the info.  It was a liquid, so maybe that was it.  I ended up not ordering the one that was going to take so long.  I ordered a different brand that said 2 day shipping.  That was a liquid, too, so we'll see how long it takes to get here.  I'm only 3 hours away from where they usually ship from.

I joined Prime in January when they had a new member special.  I haven't used it a ton so far, but when I have used it, it's been very nice and convenient.  I bought myself some earplugs, but they weren't included in the 2-day shipping thing.  They took quite a while to get here actually.

I ordered my mom an EZ Pass holder for her car.  I ordered my sister some large bottles of elderberry syrup, which they don't sell by us.  I love that I can order it and have it shipped to wherever I want.  That may be my favorite Prime feature.

I streamed Ray LaMontagne's new album the day it was released!  That was super exciting for me!  And an unexpected surprise.

I looked through the instant video section and nothing was that exciting to me, but I found a few movies to put on my watchlist.  None of which I have watched yet.  Haha.

I'm still trying to figure out the Kindle lending library, if that's a thing.  I thought I could check out a book a month or something like that.  I haven't really found any info in my clicking though.

Hope everything works out for you, @NickNack!

@Stargazer77  You have to borrow a book from your Kindle device.  I copy and pasted the directions for you.

  • From your device, open the Kindle Store.
  • Go to the Kindle Owners' Lending Library:
    • Kindle e-readers: Select All Categories or See all categories, and then select Kindle Owners' Lending Library.
    • Fire tablets: Select Kindle Owners' Lending Library. On some devices, you may need to swipe from the left edge of the screen in the Kindle Store, and then select Kindle Owners' Lending Library.
    • Fire phone: Swipe from the left edge of the screen in the Kindle Store, and then tap Kindle Lending Library.

Eligible titles display the Prime badge.

  • Select Borrow for Free. If you've already borrowed a book, you'll be prompted to return the book before you can borrow again.

@NickNack, there are some items that cannot be transported by air and that may be the reason.  For example not too long ago I added canned air to my prime order (the air was also prime) and it was shipped separately by ground and took five days to get here.

That is a bit ironic to me because I am in western NC and there are at least two, perhaps three, major Amazon distribution centers within seven hour drives so I know air transport by UPS is not needed.

I brought a case of canned air a while back, and it took a few days. It could not go by plane.

I brought a Phillips Air fryer. It was a Amazon Warehouse Deals, and came from Arizona. It was a prime sale and took a few days.

There's always exceptions but generally they let you know before you order it.     Hopefully it will come quickly.
